The Orion Companies (TOC) would like to welcome Allen Blythe to the team effective March 16, 2025. In his new role with TOC, Allen will serve as the company’s Chief Operations Officer (COO) and will focus on continuing to develop the company’s operational excellence and efficient execution of daily operations. In addition, Allen will oversee the operations of our Rocky Mount, VA and Auburn, AL offices, custom blending sites in Oakboro, NC and Gainesville, TX, production and logistics, warehouse efficiency, operational expansion, and continued improvement of our formulations.
Allen graduated from Mercer University, in Macon, GA in 1995 with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. After graduation Allen began his professional career serving eleven years in the Alabama National Guard as a Field Artillery Officer. Concurrent with his military service, in 2007, Allen went to work in the chemical engineering field for Betz Laboratories which was later acquired by General Electric (GE). Allen’s career expanded with GE and lasted another twelve years until he left in 2014 to join Alligare, LLC as the Director of Global Operations, which included their railroad division. In 2017, Allen entered a partnership as the President and CEO of Ferrovia Services, a railroad services company specializing in right of way herbicide application, which was later acquired by private equity. Allen stayed on to run the platform until March of 2025 as the President and CEO of Genesis Rail Company based in Auburn, AL.
Allen and his wife of twenty-seven years reside in Opelika, AL with their two children.
