The Orion Companies (TOC) would like to welcome Jeff Baker to the team as the company’s Strategic Contracts Manager, effective June 9, 2025. In this new role Jeff will lead and manage the company’s bidding process across all market segments and will be the central hub for all bid-related activities, ensuring timely and compliant submissions while delivering strategic insights from post-bid analysis to guide business decisions. Jeff brings a wealth of experience and a proven record to his new role as Strategic Contracts Manager. Jeff’s background as an agronomy specialist has developed his deep technical expertise and understanding of the agronomic industry. Jeff’s experience in business development has allowed him success in expanded agronomy business licenses across fifty states, demonstrating his ability to navigate regulatory landscapes and drive growth on a national scale. 
Additionally, Jeff has developed a nationwide bid business, highlighting his strategic acumen and proficiency in creating competitive opportunities. In addition to his agronomic business development and technical expertise, Jeff has held roles at prestigious facilities such as the Golf Club of New England and The Country Club. Jeff’s consulting experience spans commercial, residential, golf course, and school campus projects, highlighting his ability to cater to varied markets.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College and an Associate of Science in Turfgrass Management from the University of Massachusetts. Currently residing in New Hampshire with his wife, Karyn, Jeff cherishes his personal passions including traveling, participating in endurance events, skiing, and spending quality time with friends and family.
