The Orion Companies (TOC) would like to welcome Michael Owen to the organization effective October 1st. Michael will join the Orion Professional Turf Products (PTP) business unit in a commercial capacity and will focus on driving account sales growth, advancing business planning initiatives, and strengthening Orion’s partnerships across the turf and ornamental industry. Michael will also focus on positioning Orion’s custom blending platform as a go-to resource for professional turf managers and will play a key role in supporting the development and growth of the Tempus Ag and Orion Solutions adjuvant brands for lawn care use.
With more than 33 years of proven sales leadership, Michael brings deep expertise across multiple segments, including lawn care, landscape, golf, industrial vegetation management, aquatic weed control, railroads, and forestry. Most recently, he served as Industrial Turf and Ornamental Commercial Lead for Bayer CropScience, where he successfully managed more than $100 million in branded product sales.

A graduate of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Michael has built his career with some of the industry’s most respected companies including Bayer, Syngenta, and DuPont. Michael’s passion for delivering customer-focused solutions aligns with Orion’s mission to provide best-in-class products and services to partners nationwide. Michael resides in Wake Forest, North Carolina with his wife Lauri.
